I have a G.E. model 26955GE1-a cordless telephone handset, corded base station telephone. The cordless handset has gone bad is there a way to replace the handset without replacing the whole system. |

There aren't any replacement handsets on the market for this system. You would have to have the handset repaired. Check to see if you're still in warranty (most likely 1 year). If you are, you're saved. GE will repair or replace the handset for you.
If you're outside of warranty, you could see if GE will repair it anyway. Expect to pay between $40 to $80.
Check your manual for GE's phone number. If you don't have it, try GE's published phone number: 800 448 0329. Your best bet is to speak with their warranty department (I don't know if that number will get you there).
Your only other option is to replace the whole system.
Good luck! |
