I'm looking to get a new phone system. Currently we have a 2x panasonic 2.4GHz multi-handset cordless phone system (KX-TG200B). Our business occupies a two story victorian house built in 1898, combined with our wireless DSL service - we got pretty weak reception on the phone handsets away from base say, 40 yards away from base unit (upstairs).

I have my eye on the EnGenius Durafon 4x system. I like the features offered to the handsets, supposed range, and durability. We plan on using about 8 handsets. On the panasonic system we went through one about every 6 months for sure, if not sooner.

Does anyone have any experience with the Engenius systems? Are the handsets durable? Does the range make sense for my building? With DSL - will it affect reception with the engenius as well? It sounds like engenius doesn't work on 2.4 ghz technology? Any help would be appreciated!
